About the job

Signicat is looking for a Java Cloud & DevOps Engineer to work on the ReadID SaaS platform in Enschede. You will develop backend features, manage containerized services on Kubernetes, and improve CI/CD pipelines in a hybrid work environment.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain backend features for the ReadID SaaS platform
  • Deploy and monitor containerized services on Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated releases
  • Write clean, modular, and well-tested code with unit and integration tests
  • Collaborate on release testing for interoperability across platforms
  • Participate in infrastructure automation, observability, and troubleshooting

What you bring

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Solid experience with server-side Java (Java 17+, Spring/Spring Boot, or Jakarta EE)
  • Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (GCP or AWS)
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL)
  • Knowledge of application security principles and OWASP fundamentals
  • Good professional English proficiency

Nice to have

  • Experience with observability tools (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring)
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) or GitOps
  • Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular)
  • Cloud or Kubernetes certifications (Google Cloud Associate Engineer or CKAD/CKA)
