About the job
GIGA STORAGE is looking for a SCADA Engineer to join their team in Genk. You will translate operational needs into functional SCADA specifications and own signal architecture and HMI visualizations. This role offers the chance to grow into the central SCADA point of contact.
What you will do
- Translate operational needs into functional SCADA specifications
- Own signal architecture, naming conventions, and HMI visualizations
- Coordinate integration between local SCADA, central platform, and EMS
- Prepare and execute FAT and SAT testing
- Monitor system performance and analyze incidents
- Grow into central SCADA point of contact
What you bring
- Bachelor's or Master's in Automation, Electromechanical Engineering, Energy, ICT or similar
- 4 to 6 years of experience in industrial automation, SCADA, or OT
- Understanding of automation chain and protocols like Modbus, IEC 104, OPC UA
- Experience with HMI, functional testing, and FAT/SAT
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- Willingness to travel occasionally
Nice to have
- Experience with commissioning, PLC configuration, alarm management, or EMS integration
