About the job
GIGA STORAGE is seeking a Lead IT Engineer & Product Owner to bridge business needs with technical solutions in a hybrid role based in Amsterdam. You will own the development backlog, lead sprint planning, and act as the technical counterpart for vendors while contributing to solution design and code reviews.
What you will do
- Translate business needs into technical solutions
- Own and prioritize the development backlog
- Lead sprint planning, refinement, and reviews
- Contribute to solution design and code review
- Act as technical counterpart for vendors and suppliers
- Support build-versus-buy decisions
What you bring
- 7 to 10 years of professional IT experience as a Software Engineer
- At least 2 years in a Lead Engineer role
- Hands-on experience with Python and SQL
- Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Google Cloud, Terraform, Kubernetes
- Experience in an IT/OT environment
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field
Nice to have
- Experience in energy, BESS, utilities, grid infrastructure, or energy trading
