About the job

Lely is offering an internship focused on integrating Flutter with embedded Linux systems using hardware acceleration. You will work on i.MX6 and i.MX8 platforms, configuring graphics stacks and optimizing performance.

What you will do

Set up and configure embedded Linux environments for i.MX6 and i.MX8 platforms
Integrate and evaluate graphics stacks like Framebuffer, Xorg, Wayland or Android
Build custom Debian-based Linux images with Flutter runtime support
Enable and configure open source GPU drivers and hardware acceleration
Investigate Flutter engine compatibility with embedded Linux environments
Deploy and validate a minimal Flutter application, benchmark performance and identify optimization opportunities

What you bring

Relevant educational background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
Solid knowledge of Linux and experience with the Linux command line
Basic understanding of embedded systems and ARM based platforms
Familiarity with graphics concepts such as Framebuffer, OpenGL/EGL or GPU acceleration
Structured and analytical mindset with ability to investigate, experiment and document findings

Nice to have

Interest in Flutter or modern UI frameworks, prior experience is considered a plus
