About the job

Lely is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Maassluis. In this role, you will design and develop mechanical components and complete machines, working closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

What you will do

Design and develop mechanical components, subsystems, and complete machines
Collaborate with software, electronics, systems engineering, and testing teams
Guide prototypes from design through validation and test new concepts
Coordinate with suppliers on technical solutions and manufacturability
Analyze and resolve technical challenges during development, testing, or in the field
Contribute to transition from design to series production focusing on quality, reliability, and cost efficiency

What you bring

Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design Engineering, or comparable field
3 to 5 years of experience in designing and developing technical products
Experience with CAD software, preferably Creo or comparable 3D design tools
Affinity with prototype development, testing, and improving technical systems
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues and suppliers
Practical and analytical mindset with interest in innovation and product development

Nice to have

Experience with co-development, series production, hygienic design, or process installations such as hydraulic systems, piping, or vacuum technology
