Quantware is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Delft, focusing on quantum hardware. In this role, you will design critical components for quantum processors, such as sample holders and magnetic shielding, while leading projects from requirements to manufacturable designs.

What you will do

Design sample holders, magnetic shielding, brackets for quantum processors
Lead projects to collect product requirements and create manufacturable designs
Document designs, technical drawings, and best practices
Select and manage suppliers for outsourced manufacturing

What you bring

4+ years experience in mechanical or hardware design
Proactive approach to design and stakeholder involvement
Proficiency with CAD software like AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks
Experience with prototyping techniques such as 3D printing or CNC machining
Fluency in English

Nice to have

Experience with large temperature gradients, magnetic shielding, EM radiation protection, or thermalisation
Experience with radiofrequency systems or PCB design
