Machine learning Engineer

About the job

Sia is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development of AI products and collaborate on client projects in Maastricht. You will work in a multidisciplinary team, making architectural decisions for cloud environments and building production-level ML/AI solutions.

What you will do

• Lead internal team to develop AI products
• Work in multidisciplinary team on client projects
• Make architectural and design decisions for cloud environments
• Build production-level ML/AI solutions with solid software engineering
• Guide Data Scientists to scale models into production
• Give trainings, lead internal meetings, organize external events

What you bring

• MSc in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, AI, Embedded Systems or related field
• 2-4 years experience building production-quality ML/Deep Learning pipelines
• Good understanding of ML fundamentals and strong domain knowledge
• Expert coding in Python and one of Scala, C++, Java
• Hands-on experience with database management languages
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based infrastructures

Nice to have

• Experience with coaching/mentoring other engineers
• Prior experience in Management Consulting
• Willingness to travel and work at local and international clients
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Dutch
