GlobalFoundries is looking for a Technical Lead for Embedded Systems Software to drive the development and productization of embedded virtualization and system software. This role involves translating system architecture and customer needs into software designs, contributing to critical features, and leading system-level debugging and performance optimization.
What you will do
- Lead development and productization of embedded virtualization and system software
- Translate system architecture and customer needs into software designs and plans
- Contribute to critical features, prototypes, integration, and debugging
- Develop low-level embedded software including virtualization, RTOS, BSPs, and drivers
- Drive engineering quality and disciplined development practices
- Lead system-level debugging and performance optimization
What you bring
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Extensive experience developing complex embedded or systems software
- Proven experience technically leading software engineering teams
- Strong C and/or C++ development for embedded or real-time systems
- Strong knowledge of embedded systems fundamentals
- Experience with RTOS, hypervisor, virtualization, BSP, or driver development
Nice to have
- Experience developing virtualization platforms or hypervisors
- Deep understanding of embedded processor architectures
- Experience with safety-critical or high-reliability embedded systems
- Familiarity with functional safety standards such as ISO 26262
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and static analysis
- Experience coordinating technical development across distributed teams
