About the job
Boskalis is looking for a Senior Naval Architect to join their team in Papendrecht. In this role, you will lead the design and development of vessels from concept through to delivery.
What you will do
- Analyze customer demand and develop concept design with budget and specifications
- Communicate with suppliers and monitor new products and developments
- Involve external expertise and classification societies early in projects
- Support shipyard site team during construction, review drawings and specifications
- Manage all parties and monitor time, quality, and budget
- Attend sea trials and participate in final vessel acceptance
What you bring
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Naval Architecture
- Proven experience in vessel design and calculations
- At least 10 years of work experience
- Knowledge of classification society rules
- Excellent command of Dutch and English
- Willingness to travel internationally 10-20%
