About the job
Bynder, an international agile organization, is looking for an AI Research Intern to join their team in Rotterdam. You will own research questions from literature review to evaluated experiments and build prototypes using LLMs, embedding models, vector search, and agent frameworks.
What you will do
- Own a research question from literature review to evaluated experiments
- Build prototypes with LLMs, embedding models, vector search, and agent frameworks
- Design evaluations for non-deterministic AI systems
- Summarize recent research and decide on implementation
- Write clean Python code for shared repositories
- Communicate findings in documents and presentations
What you bring
- Available for 6-month full-time internship from October 2026
- Enrolled at a Dutch university with internship counting for study credits
- Based in the Netherlands
- Studying AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or related program
- Completed coursework in ML and deep learning plus one related area
- Strong Python skills with Git and command line
Nice to have
- Experience with vector databases or RAG systems
- Built something with LLM tool use or MCP
- Familiarity with prompt optimization or LLM observability
- Cloud experience, preferably AWS
