Aceve is looking for a Development Manager to lead and coach engineering teams in Rotterdam. In this hybrid role, you will set the technical direction, manage budgets, and drive the use of AI in development.

What you will do

  • Build and coach the team, own hiring and skill mix
  • Set direction for AI use in the area and clear the path
  • Deliver on commitments, manage budget and escalations
  • Own technical outcome across squads, set standards
  • Participate in engineering management team

What you bring

  • Solid engineering background in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#/.NET
  • Strong leadership experience with multiple teams using modern practices
  • Experience in an engineering management team
  • Up-to-date view on using AI in development
  • Experience leading multiple teams, handling budgets, and legacy systems
  • Fluent in English

Nice to have

  • Dutch language skills
