About the job

Tomra is looking for a Field Service Engineer to support sorting systems across the Benelux region. In this hybrid role based in Rotterdam, you will ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment at customer sites.

What you will do

  • Perform field service activities including commissioning, start-up, testing, integration, optimization, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of sorting systems
  • Prepare detailed service reports after each installation or maintenance activity
  • Ensure timely reporting of service activities, expenses, and documentation
  • Deliver on-site training to customer maintenance teams and internal engineers
  • Provide technical support via phone and respond to field issues
  • Collaborate with Sales and Project Management teams

What you bring

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field, or technician certification with relevant experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Professional proficiency in English
  • Proven technical problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Ability to build relationships across different cultures
  • Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 80%)

Nice to have

  • Additional language skills, particularly Dutch or Flemish
