About the job

Speechify is looking for a Software Engineer to join the AI Data team and help build the infrastructure that powers its text-to-speech products. In this remote role, you will own projects from start to finish, collaborating with AI scientists to improve training datasets and scale data-processing systems.

What you will do

Discover new audio data sources and build reliable pipelines
Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems
Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets
Own engineering projects from discovery to continuous improvement

What you bring

Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments
Experience with production systems, ideally data pipelines or large-scale data processing
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Nice to have

Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing
Experience with GCP and Terraform
Familiarity with ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing
