Monumental is looking for a Software Engineer, Frontend to join their team in Amsterdam. In this role, you'll work on designing and building tools to manage a growing robot fleet, extending internal data tools, and bringing prototypes to production. You'll collaborate closely with hardware, control engineers, and robot operators to enhance the product experience.

What you will do

  • Understanding a colleague's problem, building a prototype, iterating on the solution
  • Designing and building tools to manage a growing robot fleet
  • Extending an internal tool for viewing and editing data from different sources
  • Bringing prototypes from ops and manufacturing teams to production
  • Working with hardware, control engineers, and robot operators on product experience
  • Writing production TypeScript and React, debugging issues, deploying backend services

What you bring

  • Built full-featured web apps in idiomatic TypeScript and shipped them
  • Proven experience building products in a zero-to-one environment
  • An eye for good design in UI and UX
  • Strong sense of ownership, can drive projects independently
  • Uses coding agents but takes full ownership of features
  • Quickly picks up new languages and tools, basic Linux familiarity

Nice to have

  • React experience
  • Rust experience
