Reddit is looking for a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join its Ads Foundational Representations team. In this role, you will provide technical leadership and develop the strategy for content-based embeddings and relevance in advertising.
What you will do
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to machine learning engineers
- Develop technical strategy for content-based embeddings and relevance for ads
- Build and iterate on embedding models for advertising use cases
- Work with large language models and vision-language models to create embeddings
- Build data processing and inference pipelines
- Evaluate features through experiments and monitoring
What you bring
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with full lifecycle of industry-level models
- Demonstrated staff-level technical leadership
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong track record with content-rich NLP or computer vision problems at scale
- Data-driven approach for machine learning system development
- Familiarity with ads domain or search or recommender systems
Nice to have
- Experience with Python, PyTorch, Airflow, BigQuery, Ray, Kubernetes, Kafka, GCP
- Tech leadership experience mentoring junior engineers
- Hands-on experience with using, fine-tuning, or building large language models
