Creative Clicks B.V. is looking for a Backend Engineer Intern to join their international team in Amsterdam. This hybrid internship offers hands-on experience building backend features and working with modern tools in a fast-growing environment.

Wat ga je doen

  • Build and maintain backend features under guidance of senior engineers
  • Write and optimize SQL queries, work with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
  • Integrate with internal and third-party APIs
  • Use AI coding assistants to write, refactor, and debug code
  • Write tests and help keep codebase clean
  • Participate in code reviews, stand-ups, technical discussions; investigate bugs

Wat je meebrengt

  • Basic programming skills in at least one backend language
  • Basic understanding of relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and simple SQL queries
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools like Claude Code
  • Familiarity with Git and basic version control
  • Good English for documentation and international communication
  • Willingness to learn and take feedback

Mooi meegenomen

  • Experience with Python or Node.js
  • Understanding of caching concepts
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, Docker, Linux basics
  • Personal projects, open-source contributions, or GitHub profile
