About the job
Vesper is looking for a Fruits Market Insights Analyst to join their team in Amsterdam. You will analyze global fruit markets and deliver actionable insights to support trading decisions.
What you will do
- Analyse global and regional production, trade flows, and consumption trends for fresh and processed fruit products
- Deliver weekly market updates and ad hoc reports combining fundamental analysis, market sentiment, and derivatives developments
- Identify, source, and validate new data to increase fruit market coverage
- Build and maintain a network of growers, exporters, importers, and traders
- Lead research initiatives and act as go-to person for fruit markets
- Build and maintain supply-demand balance sheets and price views for key fruit categories
What you bring
- 3–4 years of experience in fruit markets covering fresh and processed fruit products
- Good understanding of supply chains, pricing mechanisms, and key market drivers in global fruit markets
- Existing network of market participants with willingness to expand it
- Strong analytical skills with ability to navigate large datasets and extract insights
- Experience producing market analyses and reports with forward-looking perspective
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
