About the job

Monumental is building autonomous robots to transform the construction industry. As a Mechanical Engineer in Amsterdam, you will design and build robot systems that enable full autonomy for masonry tasks, from rapid prototyping to real-world testing on construction sites.

What you will do

Design and build robot systems for autonomous construction
Develop full robot autonomy for masonry systems
Design for reliability in harsh construction conditions
Build next-generation hardware for higher precision and larger payloads
Test systems on real construction sites
Rapid prototype and iterate designs

What you bring

Proven record of building and working autonomously
Experience designing products from concept to low series volume
Proficiency in rapid prototyping, 3D printing, machining, and milling
Deep knowledge of mechanical systems and structural dynamics
Expertise in 3D CAD modeling with complex parts and assemblies
Expertise in multi-physics simulations (FEA) for structural design

Nice to have

Experience selecting and integrating electronics components
Ability to write embedded code in C or C++
B.Sc. in mechanical, mechatronics, or robotics engineering
