Pinely is looking for a Network Engineer to join their team in Amsterdam. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining low-latency network infrastructure across on-premise and multi-cloud environments.

What you will do

Design and maintain low-latency network infrastructure across on-premise and multi-cloud environments
Optimize routing, peering, and data paths for ultra-low-latency communication
Monitor network performance and implement metrics, alerting, and telemetry
Collaborate with vendors and partners on connectivity and link deployment
Automate operational tasks, configuration management, and CI/CD integration
Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and post-mortem analysis

What you bring

Strong knowledge of IP networking, routing, BGP, multicast, RF and fiber technologies
Hands-on experience with cloud networking across AWS, Google Cloud, or Alibaba Cloud
Solid understanding of Linux networking stack, tuning, and performance optimization
Experience with network automation tools like Ansible, Python, Terraform, or NetBox
Familiarity with observability stacks like Grafana, Prometheus, and telemetry tools
Excellent problem-solving skills and operational discipline in distributed environments

Nice to have

Experience operating low-latency or high-performance networks in trading or finance
Experience with low-latency networking hardware including Layer 1 switches and optical transport
Hands-on experience with RF-based networks
Development skills to create custom network diagnostic or monitoring tools
