About the job

Together AI is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead the AI Compute and Together Cloud platform in Amsterdam. This role involves owning the GPU and network virtualization stack and driving the technical direction for large-scale distributed systems.

What you will do

Own the GPU and network virtualization stack
Own the in-DC IaaS layer and lead build-out for a new data center
Design the GPU scheduling and global management plane
Architect monitoring and automated remediation for fault tolerance
Set technical direction across teams
Grow the team and set the engineering bar

What you bring

7+ years of professional software development experience
Expert-level proficiency in at least one backend language (Golang desired)
Track record of owning architecture of large distributed systems
Deep experience with globally distributed microservices across cloud providers
Expert systems knowledge across compute, networking, and storage
Demonstrated technical leadership and excellent communication skills

Nice to have

Deep Kubernetes internals experience
Deep experience with VMs/hypervisors
Deep experience with DC networking tech
Experience with Cluster API or similar
Experience with high-performance compute, networking, or storage
Experience virtualizing GPUs and/or InfiniBand
