Telnyx is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build and maintain the programmable networking platform. You will design public APIs, develop orchestration control planes, and automate network device configurations.
What you will do
- Design and maintain public REST APIs for networking products
- Develop orchestration control plane using Python asyncio
- Automate network device configuration with Ansible and Jinja2
- Integrate cloud interconnect services like Equinix Fabric
- Build and maintain Envoy-based data planes with Go
- Handle production monitoring, metrics, and customer escalations
What you bring
- Experience building customer-facing APIs over real infrastructure
- Strong async Python in production
- Working knowledge of routing protocols and network configuration
- PostgreSQL skills beyond ORM basics
- Fleet automation over SSH with Ansible
- Ability to debug incidents across network and application layers
Nice to have
- Envoy/xDS control-plane work
- Cloud interconnect product experience
- IPAM internals knowledge
- Linux to VyOS migration experience
- Mobile core exposure
- OpenAPI spec authorship
