Telnyx is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build and maintain the programmable networking platform. You will design public APIs, develop orchestration control planes, and automate network device configurations.

What you will do

Design and maintain public REST APIs for networking products
Develop orchestration control plane using Python asyncio
Automate network device configuration with Ansible and Jinja2
Integrate cloud interconnect services like Equinix Fabric
Build and maintain Envoy-based data planes with Go
Handle production monitoring, metrics, and customer escalations

What you bring

Experience building customer-facing APIs over real infrastructure
Strong async Python in production
Working knowledge of routing protocols and network configuration
PostgreSQL skills beyond ORM basics
Fleet automation over SSH with Ansible
Ability to debug incidents across network and application layers

Nice to have

Envoy/xDS control-plane work
Cloud interconnect product experience
IPAM internals knowledge
Linux to VyOS migration experience
Mobile core exposure
OpenAPI spec authorship
