Altura is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join their team in Amsterdam. You will design and deliver advanced AI systems, including an agentic layer and context graph for customer knowledge repositories. This role involves driving the architecture of production LLM and GenAI systems while establishing engineering standards.
What you will do
- Design and deliver an agentic layer and context graph for customer knowledge repositories
- Drive architecture and delivery of production LLM and GenAI systems
- Define and implement evaluation metrics and processes
- Operationalize LLMOps including deployment, observability, and cost optimization
- Build guardrails and security for AI systems
- Establish engineering standards and mentor engineers
What you bring
- Extensive experience in AI or ML software engineering with multiple production launches
- Strong software engineering fundamentals in system design, testing, and APIs
- Proven experience with LLM application patterns
- Hands-on experience building evaluation and monitoring for model quality in production
- Comfortable with cloud environments, containers, CI/CD, and observability
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience optimizing inference or serving open-source models
- Experience building internal AI platforms for evaluation or prompt management
