Adyen is looking for a Senior AI Research Engineer to drive the execution of its AI strategy, with a focus on the practical application of GenAI and other AI technologies in finance. You will implement research papers into production-grade code and contribute to the long-term AI vision, including human-AI interaction and regulation. This role offers the chance to shape the intersection of AI and fintech at a global company.

What you will do

Drive execution of AI strategy, focusing on practical application of GenAI and other AI in finance
Implement research papers into production-grade code
Contribute to defining long-term AI vision, including human-AI interaction and regulation
Challenge status quo and implement creative solutions
Provide mentorship and foster collaboration across organization
Pair with engineering teams on technical challenges and be hands-on with code

What you bring

Deeply embedded in scientific AI research community with understanding of latest SOTA
Significant experience with GenAI and LLMs
Strong engineering mindset with clean, efficient, scalable code
Experience implementing AI research papers into production code
Ability to think critically and deliver simple solutions to complex problems
Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences

Nice to have

Strong product sense
Experience in AI-enabled fintech companies
Familiarity with classical machine learning
Experience with conferences and publications
Experience with on-premise infrastructure
