About the job

FutureWhiz is looking for a Senior AI Product Engineer to own the technical direction of AI-assisted product areas. In this hybrid role based in Amsterdam, you will build across the full stack—from Python services and APIs to user interfaces and infrastructure—while designing robust LLM and agent-based workflows.

What you will do

  • Own technical direction for AI-assisted product area from discovery to production
  • Build across stack: Python services, APIs, data flows, user interfaces, infrastructure
  • Design robust LLM and agent-based workflows including prompts, evaluations, feedback loops, observability, safeguards
  • Translate editorial research and user feedback into technical options and testable plans
  • Identify smallest useful experiments to resolve technical or product uncertainty
  • Develop reusable platform capabilities and integration patterns for multiple content workflows

What you bring

  • Track record of independently building, shipping, and operating production software
  • Strong in Python and comfortable with backend, frontend, and infrastructure decisions
  • Practical experience with LLM-powered products, model APIs, agent workflows, or related AI systems
  • Uses AI tools as normal part of engineering practice while critically verifying output
  • Can frame ambiguous problems, identify riskiest assumptions, and turn them into focused experiments
  • Makes architecture decisions balancing immediate product learning with reliability and future reuse

Nice to have

  • Experience with React or TypeScript, cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD, LLM evaluation, data analysis, or applied machine learning
  • Experience in education, publishing, or content systems
