About the job
Shoparize, a fast-growing digital company, is looking for a Senior Business Controller to join its Amsterdam team. You will own the monthly financial close, lead budgeting and forecasting, and support the first statutory audit with PwC. This role also involves driving BI and data direction as the Finance product owner.
What you will do
- Own monthly financial close and reconciliation
- Build consolidated reporting across group entities
- Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast
- Act as Finance product owner for data and BI direction
- Support first statutory audit with PwC
- Help design migration from Exact Online to NetSuite
What you bring
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, Econometrics or related field
- 5 to 8 years experience in business controlling, FP&A or financial reporting
- Proven ownership of monthly close or financial reconciliation process
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Experience with BI tools and data environments
- Solid grasp of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow mechanics in multi-market environment
Nice to have
- Experience in e-commerce, marketplace, adtech, SaaS or high-growth digital environment
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery and Looker Studio
- Experience of first statutory audit or working with Big Four auditor
- Experience of ERP implementation or migration, ideally NetSuite
- Background in performance marketing analytics or familiarity with ROAS, CAC, LTV and contribution margin
- Exposure to fundraising, equity or debt processes, or investor reporting
