About the job

Join Monumental, an Amsterdam-based company at the forefront of construction technology, as a Software Engineer specializing in Computer Vision. You will be part of a team developing advanced sensing and localisation systems for autonomous construction robots.

What you will do

Develop algorithms for localisation, mapping, calibration, and state estimation
Build continuous localisation systems combining camera, depth, and IMU data
Design and build vision systems for construction site understanding
Implement production-level code for algorithms
Measure sensing system performance and perform root cause analysis

What you bring

Industry experience building and deploying 3D vision systems into production
Deep understanding of multiple hardware sensor systems (LiDARs, IMUs, depth cameras)
Experience with mapping, localisation, and state estimation algorithms (e.g., VI-SLAM, VIO, ICP, Kalman filters)
Proven software engineering experience in C, C++, Python, Rust, or comparable languages
Software engineering best practices: git, unit testing, automated deployment
Strong bias for action and output

Nice to have

Experience with real-time, deep-learning-based computer vision (e.g., multi-object tracking)
