Optiply is looking for a Supply Chain Engineer to join their team in Amsterdam, focusing on automating purchasing rules and analyzing customer data. In this role, you will work with SQL, Python, and Retool to improve supply chain processes and support customer success. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and drive efficiency.
What you will do
- Translate non-standard purchasing rules into automated workflows using SQL, Python and Retool
- Analyze customer data on cash flow, OTIF, container planning, service levels, deadstock
- Investigate data mismatches between Optiply and customer systems (ERP, WMS, webshop) and coordinate fixes
- Track customer health KPIs like service level, on-time/in-full, advice adoption, deadstock
- Build and improve AI agents and automations for customer success processes
- Support sales and onboarding as supply chain expert, including customer visits in Netherlands and Belgium
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering & Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related quantitative field
- 3+ years in supply chain, purchasing, inventory or technical consulting role
- Understanding of service levels, ABC/XYZ, EOQ, MOQs, lot sizes, lead times, safety stock, forecasting
- Experience with automation or low-code tools like Retool, Zapier or n8n, or willingness to learn
- Understanding of APIs and data movement between systems
- Fluent in Dutch and English (mandatory)
Nice to have
- Master's degree, e.g. in Operations Management & Logistics
- Experience using AI tools daily and thinking about agentic automation
