About the job

Planet is looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of its geospatial platform from Haarlem. In this hybrid role, you will shape intuitive interfaces for complex data, working closely with product and engineering teams to elevate the design culture.

What you will do

Lead end-to-end product design from discovery to high-fidelity design
Create intuitive geospatial interfaces for complex data
Gather user feedback and conduct user interviews
Define interaction patterns and design system for the platform
Collaborate with product and engineering teams
Help build and elevate design culture

What you bring

6+ years designing complex digital products
Bachelor's degree in design or equivalent
Portfolio with geospatial or data analytics work
Solid UX/UI, interaction design, prototyping, accessibility, visual design skills
Proficient in Figma and enterprise design systems
Experience with user research and usability testing

Nice to have

Experience designing for developers, data scientists, or AI agents
Hands-on with remote sensing analysis and geospatial standards
Willingness to meet customers and travel within Europe
Experience helping a team adopt new ways of working
