Delta Electronics is looking for a Senior Field Application Engineer to support packaging automation across Europe. In this role, you will provide technical expertise for HFFS, VFFS, and Flowpack machinery, working closely with customers and internal teams.
What you will do
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for HFFS, VFFS, and Flowpack machinery
- Assess customer requirements and design automation solutions (motion control, drives, PLC, HMI)
- Troubleshoot technical issues on-site or remotely
- Act as technical advisor to packaging OEMs and system integrators
- Support sales with technical presentations, demos, and RFPs
- Deliver training and mentor junior engineers
What you bring
- Minimum 10 years as FAE, Commissioning Engineer, or Automation Engineer in packaging machinery
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field
- Deep hands-on understanding of packaging mechanics and control loops for Flowpack, HFFS, VFFS
- Strong PLC programming (e.g., IEC 61131-3) and motion control (e.g., EtherCAT, Profinet, CANopen)
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel extensively across Europe (40-50%)
Nice to have
- Experience with automation brands like Beckhoff, B&R, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or Rockwell
- Fluency in another major European language (e.g., German, Italian, French)
