About the job
Destinus is looking for a Director of Accounting & Controlling to lead its group financial close and consolidation across international entities. In this role, you will own the close calendar, resolve complex accounting issues, and drive improvements in finance systems and controls.
What you will do
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual group close across consolidated entities
- Own group close calendar and coordinate with multiple finance teams
- Resolve complex accounting issues and ensure reporting quality
- Manage consolidation adjustments, intercompany eliminations, and currency translation
- Strengthen internal accounting controls and policies
- Drive improvements in ERP and finance systems
What you bring
- 10+ years of progressive Accounting, Controlling, or Finance experience
- Public company experience required
- Deep knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with European local GAAP
- Experience owning group accounting policies and making technical judgments
- Proven experience leading group close and consolidation at scale
- Strong manufacturing cost accounting experience
Nice to have
- Experience in aerospace, defence, or industrial manufacturing
- Experience with statutory reporting across multiple European jurisdictions
- Familiarity with program-based revenue recognition and government customers
- Additional European languages
