Lely is looking for a Team Lead Data Scientist to guide and develop its Data Science & AI team in Maassluis. In this hybrid role, you will contribute to the product roadmap and take responsibility within the Product Development Leadership team. You will build relationships with stakeholders and a partner company while shaping the Data & AI strategy.

What you will do

Lead and develop the Data Science & AI team
Contribute to the product roadmap by collaborating with other leads and business teams
Take responsibility within the Product Development Leadership team and the Data & AI MT
Build relationships with stakeholders and a partner company
Improve the team's technical and soft skills and increase its impact
Determine the direction for Data & AI infrastructure and strategy

What you bring

Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Econometrics, or Informatics
Proven leadership experience with HR responsibilities
Focus on personal development of team members
Analytical thinking and result-oriented working
5+ years of experience with Data Science & AI and machine learning in business or industry
Hands-on experience with Data Science & AI tools and architecture (Python, Databricks)

Nice to have

Experience with Azure and Databricks
Experience with running genAI or agentic AI applications at scale in production
