Redwood Software is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of large-scale distributed systems. You will apply advanced prompt engineering for generative AI tools and oversee CI/CD and observability pipelines. The role also involves mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence.

What you bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Over eight years of software development experience
- Three to five years in senior or staff software engineer role
- Proven experience in workload automation, job scheduling, and orchestration
- Deep proficiency in Java 11/17+ with modern frameworks
- Strong background in microservice architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and RESTful API design
Nice to have
- Experience with ReactJS, MobX, and TypeScript
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Bamboo
- Proficiency in JUnit, Jest, and Playwright
