About the job

Payter B.V. is seeking a Hardware Project Manager to lead end-to-end hardware development projects in Rotterdam. In this role, you will manage timelines, budgets, and risks while providing technical guidance through design, prototyping, and manufacturing processes.

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end hardware development projects, managing timelines, budgets, scope, and risks
  • Provide technical guidance through design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing processes
  • Drive certification and compliance with global standards
  • Manage global supply chains and relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
  • Enforce quality control from concept to production
  • Bridge communication between engineering teams, vendors, and senior leadership

What you bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in hardware development, engineering, or project management
  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
  • Understanding of PCB design, embedded systems, and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with global hardware certification and regulatory compliance
  • Proficient in project management tools and familiar with CAD tools and PLM systems

Nice to have

  • Hardware-specific certifications (e.g., IPC-A-610, ISO 9001)
