About the job

DoiT is looking for a Data Engineer to build and maintain integrations with third-party billing and usage APIs. In this remote role, you will own data quality, design normalization models, and leverage AI across your daily work.

What you will do

  • Build new integrations against third-party billing and usage APIs
  • Keep existing integrations current as vendors change APIs and pricing models
  • Use AI daily across the full span of work
  • Own data quality including duplication, gaps, and race conditions
  • Design models to normalize differently-shaped vendor bills
  • Own orchestration, scheduling, and backfill mechanics for ingestion pipelines

What you bring

  • 3+ years professional experience in data engineering or data-heavy backend role
  • Strong SQL for analytical queries
  • Hands-on experience with orchestration framework like Dagster or Airflow
  • Strong Python or equivalent language for data work
  • Experience with cloud data warehouse like BigQuery, ClickHouse, Snowflake, or Redshift
  • Experience integrating third-party REST APIs handling pagination, rate limits, partial failures

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud or SaaS billing data
  • Familiarity with Go
  • Experience with systems carrying financial or audit-grade correctness requirements
  • Exposure to FinOps practices or cloud financial management products
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
