Zscaler is looking for a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join their team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will focus on creating and maintaining scalable solutions while ensuring platform security and observability.
What you will do
- Create and maintain scalable solutions with KVM Linux, Kubernetes, and public cloud providers
- Analyze and troubleshoot system performance and issues across OS and applications
- Maintain platform security and observability using nftables and monitoring tools
- Manage and deploy systems and software in Kubernetes and OpenStack environments
- Develop and maintain automation tools using Python, Golang, and Bash
What you bring
- Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools
- Strong understanding of web security, protocols, and SSH
- Technical aptitude in security frameworks including PGP, SSH, PKI, and multi-factor authentication
- Deep knowledge of network fundamentals including DHCP, ARP, subnetting, routing, NAT, firewalls, IPv4, and IPv6
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible
- 5+ years of experience in Linux/UNIX system administration or SysAdmin role
Nice to have
- Extensive experience with OpenStack and CEPH
- Deep Linux expertise from dedicated SysAdmin roles
- Proficiency with secrets management systems such as Hashicorp Vault
