ILIAS A&D BV is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join their team in Almere. In this role, you will design simulations, build optimization models, and analyze sensor data for military platforms. Your work will directly impact real operational decisions in logistics and maintenance.
Wat ga je doen
- Design and develop discrete-event simulations with SimPy for logistics and maintenance
- Build optimisation models in IBM CPLEX for scheduling and resource allocation
- Analyze high-volume sensor data from military platforms for signals and anomalies
- Validate models with domain experts and communicate uncertainty
- Write clean Python code and collaborate with engineers to productionize models
- Contribute to internal tooling and knowledge sharing
Wat je meebrengt
- About five years of applied experience in data science or operations research
- Strong Python engineering skills with pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn
- Deep applied experience in at least two of: discrete-event simulation, mathematical optimisation, or sensor/time-series modelling
- Ability to translate ambiguous operational questions into analytical approaches
- Professional working proficiency in Dutch and English
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain national or NATO security clearance
Mooi meegenomen
- Background in logistics, maintenance planning, systems engineering, or defence operations
- Experience with Docker or container technology
- Experience with Spark or PySpark for large datasets
- Exposure to digital twins, operational dashboards, or predictive maintenance
- Prior work in secure or regulated environments like defence or aviation
