PCB/RF Design Engineer

Quantware is seeking an RF/PCB Design Engineer to join their team in Delft. In this role, you will design electromechanical components for quantum processing units and traveling-wave parametric amplifiers, working with cutting-edge cryogenic technologies.

Wat ga je doen

• Design electromechanical components for QPUs and TWPAs
• Use CAD for PCB, silicon chip layout, and PCB-to-chip interconnect design
• Solve RF/microwave challenges like insertion loss and impedance matching
• Design for and test performance from room temperature to millikelvin
• Run cooldown and characterization tests in dilution refrigerators

Wat je meebrengt

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering with focus on PCB design and RF/Microwave Engineering
• 4+ years hands-on PCB design experience with KiCAD, Altium Designer, or Cadence
• Hands-on experience designing or testing hardware for cryogenic environments
• Solid understanding of schematics, electro-mechanical interfaces, RF layout, and signal integrity

Mooi meegenomen

• Background in high-density interconnects, high frequency flex interconnects, or 3D packaging
• Familiarity with superconducting technologies
• Practical experience with RF testing using VNA and related equipment
