Together AI is seeking a Lead/Manager for its Cloud Infrastructure team in Amsterdam. You will lead a team of 8 engineers, designing foundational backend services and improving distributed system robustness. This hybrid role involves partnering with product teams and participating in on-call rotation.

What you will do

Lead and manage a team of 8 cloud infrastructure engineers
Design and develop foundational backend services for the commerce platform
Analyze and improve robustness and scalability of distributed systems
Partner with product teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
Write well-tested and maintainable software and infrastructure as code
Conduct design and code reviews, and participate in on-call rotation

What you bring

1-2 years of experience leading an infrastructure team
Demonstrated background in talent acquisition and retention
5+ years building large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems and API microservices
Experience designing and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of system resources
Excellent communication skills for writing design docs and working with technical and non-technical teams
Experience with high-performance or globally distributed microservice architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP

Nice to have

Experience with Kubernetes and containers
Experience building and operating data infrastructure like Kinesis, Airflow, or Kafka
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
