About the job

Together AI is looking for a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture and scaling of distributed storage systems for AI and HPC infrastructure. You will drive the storage strategy and build multi-petabyte systems that power next-generation machine learning workloads.

What you will do

Architect and implement storage strategy and roadmap
Engineer and scale multi-petabyte AI/ML storage systems
Develop intelligent caching and tiered storage architectures
Tune storage isolation for secure multi-tenancy
Code Kubernetes storage operators and controllers
Optimize end-to-end data paths and contribute to open-source projects

What you bring

8+ years in storage engineering at multi-petabyte scale
Experience deploying high-performance storage for GPU/HPC clusters
Deep Kubernetes and cloud-native storage experience
Strong coding skills in Go and Python
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
Technical leadership in improving performance, reliability, or cost efficiency

Nice to have

GPU Direct Storage, NVMe-oF, RDMA
ML/AI storage patterns
Storage benchmarking and profiling tools
