Expereo is looking for a Lead Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join their team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will lead the design and maintenance of scalable applications, mentor engineers, and drive engineering standards. You will work in a dynamic, international environment with exposure to cutting-edge technologies.
What you will do
- Lead design and maintenance of scalable front-end and back-end applications
- Develop reusable UI components, design systems, shared libraries, and internal service frameworks
- Build and integrate APIs (REST, GraphQL, event-driven, microservices)
- Ensure performance, security, accessibility, and reliability; lead automated testing
- Implement observability and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
- Mentor engineers, drive engineering standards, and explore new technologies
What you bring
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, and .NET; Node.js or Python preferred
- Expertise in modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
- Knowledge of component-based architecture and state-management patterns
- Experience with REST, GraphQL, streaming/event-driven APIs, and microservices
- Familiarity with build tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with cloud environments and Salesforce
Nice to have
- Exposure to agentic AI, data-driven UI architectures, or AI-powered developer tools
- Experience with design systems, component libraries, or Storybook
- Familiarity with programmable networks, observability tooling, or network automation
- Understanding of advanced security practices
- Experience in distributed systems or event-driven architectures
