About the job

Flexport is looking for an Operations Controller to join their EMEA team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will manage the monthly close process and ensure accuracy across a growing multi-entity footprint. You will be part of a fast-paced, global company that values innovation and efficiency.

What you will do

Own full monthly close timeliness, completeness and accuracy across a growing multi-entity footprint
Own accuracy of local Revenue and COGS, including transfer pricing calculations
Control cost, balance sheet and liquidity through OPEX and T&E challenge, anomaly investigation, deposits and cash flow review
Build and deliver automation roadmap for the Accounting function
Enforce correct output and input VAT recording end-to-end
Drive corrective actions and implement e-invoicing readiness

What you bring

5+ years of progressive accounting and operational finance experience in a high-growth company
Experience in a multinational setting with cross-border reporting needs
Strong background in GAAP, financial reporting and ERP systems
Proven experience with applying VAT rules and VAT accounting across Europe
Top level proficiency in deploying and overseeing automated finance tools and modern financial data stacks
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
