About the job
Optics11 is a deep-tech scale-up in Amsterdam looking for a Partial Discharge Data Scientist. You will design and develop algorithms for sensor data analysis and predictive analytics, working with large-scale time-series datasets.
What you will do
- Design and develop algorithms for sensor data analysis and predictive analytics
- Analyze large-scale sensor and time-series datasets
- Develop signal-processing and machine-learning pipelines
- Integrate algorithms into cloud and edge platforms
- Monitor and improve deployed algorithm performance
What you bring
- At least 3 years of professional data science experience with sensor data
- Strong Python skills with scientific libraries
- Solid foundation in statistics, algorithm development, and machine learning
- Experience with signal-processing techniques
- Experience deploying ML models in production or cloud environments
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a relevant science or engineering discipline
Nice to have
- Experience with partial discharge or condition-monitoring data
- Experience with predictive maintenance or anomaly detection
- Knowledge of time-series databases
- Experience with experiment tracking and reproducible ML workflows
- Experience with GPU computing or real-time edge deployment
- Familiarity with MLOps practices
