Simvia is a growing impact scale-up in Amsterdam, seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer (Python) to help refine and improve their platform. You will collaborate with the team to shape projects and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
What you will do
- Refine, improve, and implement features and capabilities into the platform
- Collaborate with team members to shape and guide projects
- Foster a development culture of continuous improvement and learning
- Be a reliable sparring partner to the rest of the team
What you bring
- 5+ years experience in Backend Development
- 5+ years experience with Python
- Extensive experience with SQL (PostgreSQL)
- Extensive experience with Python testing frameworks like Pytest
Nice to have
- Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI
- Experience with AWS services like EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, S3
- Experience working in agile teams using SCRUM or KANBAN
- Modern front-end development experience, preferably React
