Simvia, a growing impact scale-up in Amsterdam, is looking for a Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer (Python) to join their hybrid team. In this role, you'll refine and implement platform features while collaborating with colleagues to shape projects and foster a culture of continuous learning.
What you will do
- Refine, improve, and implement features and capabilities into the platform
- Collaborate with team members to shape and guide projects
- Foster a development culture of continuous improvement and learning
- Be a reliable sparring partner to the rest of the team
What you bring
- 3+ years experience in Backend Development
- 3+ years experience with Python
- Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL)
- Experience with Python testing frameworks e.g. Pytest
Nice to have
- Experience with Django, or similar such as Flask or FastAPI
- Experience with AWS, e.g. EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, S3
- Experience working in agile teams using processes such as SCRUM
- Modern front-end development experience
