Senior Compliance Manager
About the job
Backbase is looking for a Senior Compliance Manager to lead IT GRC and AI governance initiatives. In this role, you will design and manage IT controls and compliance frameworks while acting as a compliance partner to Sales and clients.
What you will do
- Design and manage IT controls and compliance frameworks
- Own AI governance frameworks
- Act as compliance partner to Sales and clients
- Ensure compliance with security practices in SaaS
- Manage customer and third-party attestations
- Support third-party risk assessments
What you bring
- Minimum 8 years experience in compliance programs internationally
- Strong knowledge of AI governance frameworks
- Experience with enterprise Sales or customer-facing compliance
- AI-first and automation mindset
- Commercially minded with risk-based judgment
- Bachelor's degree required
Nice to have
- Academic degree in IT Security, Risk Management, or related field
- Senior certifications like CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or IAPP AIGP
- Knowledge of Open Banking or PSD2
- Experience with GRC tools and platforms
- Knowledge of Secure-SDLC tooling and design
- Knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS or Azure
