Catawiki is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will take ownership of month-end close activities and serve as a finance partner to payroll. You will also drive improvements in finance processes and support audits.

What you will do

Own month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
Manage accounting areas or entities through the close process
Act as Finance partner to Payroll for accurate payroll processing and payment controls
Analyze financial movements and variances and provide insights to stakeholders
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and coordinating follow-ups
Drive improvements in Finance processes, controls and reporting

What you bring

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics or similar
Solid experience in financial accounting, preferably in international, marketplace, e-commerce, platform or tech environment
Hands-on experience with month-end close activities including journals, accruals and reconciliations
Solid understanding of accounting principles
Experience supporting audits and working with internal or external stakeholders
Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Nice to have

IFRS knowledge
Experience with Workday Financials
