About the job
I3d is looking for a Data Center Lead to oversee hardware deployments and guide a technical team in Capelle aan den IJssel. You will manage server installations, network gear setup, and operational standards in a hybrid work environment.
What you will do
- Lead hardware setup, installation, and troubleshooting of servers and network gear
- Guide and manage team members in daily work and technical development
- Oversee operational tasks like cable management, rack organization, and server swaps
- Deploy servers using RAID, BMC, PXE boot, USB installation, and imaging tools
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for deployments and maintenance
- Maintain documentation and knowledge base, improve operational standards
What you bring
- Experience with RAID setups, BMC ports, and server imaging in datacenter environments
- Understanding of networking basics like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, cable management, and SFP modules
- Practical experience with servers, racks, cabling, and hardware deployments
- Leadership mindset with ability to mentor and create structure
- Fluent in English, able to communicate with technical and non-technical teams
- Physically capable of lifting 45kg and living within 50km of Rotterdam datacenter for on-call
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Linux, virtualization, Docker, NAS setups, or game server hosting
- Dutch language skills
