About the job

Quantware is looking for a software engineer to join their R&D team in Delft. You will develop and maintain storage for measurement data and metadata, and turn measurement prototypes into robust, tested code.

What you will do

Develop and maintain storage of measurement data and metadata
Turn measurement prototypes into robust, tested code
Review, refactor, and maintain modular Python code
Collaborate with experimental physicists, RF test engineers, and electrical engineers
Own R&D software functionality through validation and integration

What you bring

MSc in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or similar
3+ years of industry experience
Experience building software that interacts with hardware
Strong Python skills for data acquisition, automation, or scientific pipelines
Experience with databases and cloud computing suites like GCP and AWS
Working knowledge of object-oriented design, Git, code review, and testing frameworks

Nice to have

Hands-on experience in control of test and measurement equipment
Experience in a quantum device foundry or test facility
