About the job

Quantware is looking for a technician to assemble quantum chips into packaging. You will work with technical drawings and perform precision tasks like wirebonding and soldering in a hybrid work setup in Delft.

What you will do

  • Assemble quantum chips into packaging using technical drawings and work instructions
  • Make electrical connections through wirebonding and manual soldering
  • Perform electrical and mechanical checks and record results
  • Finish and close packages including sealing, inspection, and laser engraving
  • Load cryogenic fridges with new chips and make wiring, thermal, and mechanical connections
  • Flag deviations and give feedback on work instructions and tools

What you bring

  • MBO-level technical education (level 3 or 4) in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electronics, or similar
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience assembling mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic systems
  • Able to read work instructions with photos and technical drawings
  • Comfortable with basic digital tools and production systems
  • Good manual dexterity for precision assembly and mechanical assembly
  • Good command of technical English

Nice to have

  • Experience with wirebonding, die attach, or chip-packaging assembly
  • Experience with measurements, diagnostics, or troubleshooting
  • Experience in a lab, ESD-controlled, or 5S production environment
  • Experience assembling or servicing complex equipment or machines
  • Familiarity with cryogenics or vacuum systems
