About the job

Destinus is seeking a Supply Chain Engineer to lead supplier industrialization from prototype to serial production at its Hengelo site. You will assess and optimize manufacturing methods, drive design-for-manufacture initiatives, and evaluate supplier capability to support production ramp-up.

What you will do

  • Lead supplier industrialization from prototype to serial production
  • Assess and optimize manufacturing methods like CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, plastics, additive manufacturing, and mechanical assembly
  • Drive design-for-manufacture, design-for-assembly, and value-engineering initiatives
  • Evaluate supplier capability, capacity, and manufacturing resilience
  • Support supplier qualification, first article inspections, process validation, and production ramp-up
  • Use manufacturing, quality, delivery, and cost data to identify risks and prioritize improvements

What you bring

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related discipline
  • 5+ years experience in manufacturing, production engineering, supplier industrialization or similar
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes including CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, additive manufacturing, and mechanical assembly
  • Experience industrializing products from prototype to serial production
  • Strong drawing interpretation, GD&T, and tolerance analysis skills
  • Fluent English as working language

Nice to have

  • Experience with plastics manufacturing processes like injection moulding or thermoforming
  • Experience with composite manufacturing technologies and tooling
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience industrializing electro-mechanical products and assemblies
